The only problem was that after my six year old watched each episode she didn't want to erase any! I'm so glad that Littlest Pet Shop: Sweetest Pets has been released on DVD. Now we always have five our our favorite episodes on hand to watch.
Here is the premise of the show:
When Blythe Baxter moved into the city with her father, she never expected to move into the apartment above the Littlest Pet Shop. But an even bigger surprise awaited her. Blythe can talk to the pets…and they can talk back! Join Blythe as she embarks on five more wild adventures with her newest friends: Pepper, the hilarious skunk; Sunil, the magical mongoose; Penny, the adorable panda; Russell, the highly organized hedgehog; Zoe, the diva Spaniel; and, of course, Minka, the artistic monkey!
Total Running Time is 110 minutes and Episodes Include:
- Topped with Buttercream
- Trading Places
- Sweet (Truck) Ride
- What's in the Batter?
- Bakers and Fakers
- Bonus Coloring Sheet
- Free Digital Animal for the LPS App, available via the insert inside the DVD container. My daughter really likes the app's cute game.
My daughter will be seven years old this summer. She's outgrown many of the preschool shows she used to watch but is not ready for some of the live action shows that I think are geared more toward tweens. The Littlest Pet Shop: Sweetest Pets is perfect to fill that gap, with cute, girly stories that my daughter likes to watch and doesn't think are babyish.
She really liked how both the animals and Blythe toys she has were brought to life. The animals all have their own personalities and the story lines are fun and have a positive message. I've found this to be a great extension for the toys she loves, and I think that some LPS toys combined with this DVD would make a great present for girls.
Disclosure: A complimentary DVD was provided for this review, however, the experiences and opinions related within are both personal and unbiased by this.
