Baby Boy Scrapbook Page: Biliblanket

It's time for another entry in our Baby Boy Scrapbook Pages Series!  It's time for our first double page spread.  Don't get me wrong, I love taking a story and letting it extend over two sides of my scrapbook.  It's just that in the interest of space saving, my now six year old's First Year "Album" actually takes up THREE and that's without including the special albums I made for trips we took.  Yikes, that's a lot to store over time since it's not like I'm going to stop documenting their lives after they turn a year old. 

My plan is to try and keep LB focused scrapbooks for him up to the age of five.  That's how old ER was when he was born and she's got a lot of scrapbook pages devoted to her.  My husband Brad is a second child and he's very a little sensitive to the fact that there are not nearly as many pictures of him by himself or as he thinks, of him at all, as there were of his older brother.  So I am conscious of trying to make sure that ER doesn't have ten scrapbooks all about her and LB and handful of random pages.  I am using Project Life to keep up with what's been going on since we became a family of four.

This week's layout is about our first "adventure" with LB was when he was jaundice and needed a biliblanket, I posted about here.  When it came time to scrapbook this event the layout I ended up using for inspiration was quite a departure from my normal style.  I don't usually have a big blog of patterned paper all my itself on my pages, but I liked the star paper so much I wanted it to be seen in bigger chunks.  This was a nice way to use it and still fit several almost full sized 4X6 photos on the page.

It's been embellished with a felt "love" sticker, letters cut from my favorite Alphalicious Cricut cartridge, and die cut stars that were inked and raised on dimensional glue dots.
