My kiddo is home from first grade today, we watched President Obama taking the oath of office for the second time and talked at length about Martin Luther King Jr. and the Civil Rights movement. Serious topics for a six year old but one she was very interested in. Sometimes it is hard for her to understand that as a child of mixed heritage at one point in our country's history she would have been discriminated against and that the marriage between Brad and I would have been against the law.
To mark this day in my Project Life album I decided to create a quote filler card and share them with anyone else who might like to use them. Both quotes are taken directly from his historic "I Have a Dream" speech.
The top two are 3X4 png files and at the bottom I've put both onto a 4X6 jpeg canvas so anyone who doesn't know how to work with png files can send the image directly to wherever they get their photos printed. Click on the link below each image and then right click to save to your computer.
These are for personal use only.

I read an MLK quote I'd never heard yesterday which has stuck with me ever since. "Take the first step in faith. You don't have to see the whole staircase, just take the first step."
