Things have been a little quiet around here on the blog and here's why, we were in Walt Disney World! It was quite the trip, that began with the first plane ride for both ER and LB. Both did beautifully, LB slept most of the time and ER stayed busy with her back pack activities and Leapster. The ride back was a bit bumpy but I think Mama was the one most affected by that!
After a few days at the Magic Kingdom we moved the fun to aboard the Disney Dream for a three night cruise to the Bahamas! I can't praise the Disney cruise line or their staff enough. I was a bit nervous since it was my first time on a ship but it was a wonderful time, just fabulous!
ER went into the ocean for the first time at Disney's private island Castaway Cay. The water may have been a beautiful turquoise blue but it was pretty cold! I only ventured in to knee height, just so I could say I've been in the ocean by the Bahamas. It's also the first time I've been that far south. (Please excuse the unflattering shapeless fuschia
Here's what LB thought of the sand and ocean. He was much happier sitting on my lap, but I know in a year or so he's gonna love the beach.
We went the last week of February through the first weekend in March and returned last Sunday. Even thought I've been home almost a week, I've been too exhausted to do much online beside upload the nearly 1000 pictures I took. Yes you read that number correctly, aren't you glad I limited myself to just a few for this post? I am so glad we sprung for the new camera last Christmas, the photos from the Canon Rebel are so much nicer than what my old camera could take.
This was a definitely a trip and not a vacation! I think the piles of dirty laundry are finally done but I must admit my email box is still pretty full. I apologize if you've emailed the past two weeks and not gotten much of a response. I hope you'll understand why!

It looks like a wonderful trip...We are going on the very exact same vacation next month. 10 days at WDW and then the 3 night cruise on the Disney Dream. Do you have any pointers? Anything you learned that you wish you knew or thought of before hand?
So you were basically 20 miles away from where I live! We're very close to Disney; on a quiet night, we can hear the fireworks. Looks like y'all had an amazing time! I really want to try out the cruise one of these days!
How fun!!! I've heard only good things about Disney Cruises. Looks like ER didn't mind the cold water!
Nothing beats seeing a little kid experience Disney World! ~ Maureen
Don't you just love cruises?!?! I have heard that Disney is the best. We haven't tried them yet but hope to one day :) Sounds like a great time!
My first thought when I saw your picture was that you look great! You don't look like you just had a baby either!
What a great trip! I would be scared to death of a cruise, but Disney World we'll have to do sometime.
Sounds like you had a lot of fun! Family trips are fun, but work & the memories are so worth it! I like your beach cover up! We are 4 1/2 hr drive to LA non traffic time, but would love to go to Disney World some day.
Loved watching as you posted photos on FB while you were away. It looks like the entire family had a magical time. One of these days I hope to get on a Disney Cruise, but until then I am thrilled with just spending time on land at Walt Disney World.
