On FRIDAY, AUGUST 5 at 8:00 p.m., ET/PT, Disney's Emmy Award-winning hit series and TV's #1 animated series in Prime among kid 6-11 and TV's #1 animated series with Tweens aged 9-14 for the past three years, "Phineas and Ferb" will be premiering "Phineas and Ferb: Across the 2nd Dimension" on the Disney Channel. We'll be watching, as long as I'm not actually in the hospital giving birth on my actual due date...which is also the 5th. However, if we miss it then, I already know to catch the encore showing on SATURDAY AUGUST 13 at 10:00 a.m., ET/PT on Disney XD. Plot Synopsis: In this animated adventure based on Disney Channel's Emmy Award-winning comedy series "Phineas and Ferb," stepbrothers Phineas and Ferb go on their biggest journey yet, into another dimension! When the boys finally discover that their beloved pet platypus Perry is in fact a secret agent who battles the forces of evil daily, they join him on a grand adventure that blasts them to another dimension where a truly evil Dr. Doofenshmirtz has taken over an alternate Tri-state Area. When they uncover his ploy to travel back to their dimension to take over their Tri-state Area, the gang, as well as their alter-egos, must band together to stop him.
"Phineas and Ferb" is a recent addition to the shows we watch. It's been so nice having a series that's a little more mature, without being too old for ER, that we can enjoy as a family. We all like the humorous, off-beat show and creative challenges and the way they solve them, that the boys encounter all summer long. I also like how their gang of friends include a variety of nationalities.
I can't wait to see how Phineas and Ferb find out and react to the news Perry is a secret agent! I'm also wondering if in either their own or the 2nd dimension, big sister Candance can finally catch her brothers in action and prove to their parents, what those boys have been up to! I'm also looking forward to the new and catchy songs that I'm sure will be incorporated into the storyline. I always enjoy those a lot!

Last Monday in New York City, Disney launched the "Perry the Platy-Bus On Tour" with a 27" long customized, 4000 lbs rounded aluminum Airstream trailer made to look like a Phineas' and Ferb's teal-colored pet. It will be going on a coast to coast journey from New York to San Diego's Comic-Con International (July 21-24) and the Disney Expo in Anaheim (August 19-21). Fan can come aboard to play the new Unity 3D game, "The Movie Game: The Dimension of Doooom!" and for more fun! It sounds like so much fun, I wish we could go. I'm excited to see the soon to be annoucned route; I can only imagine what the Platy-bus looks like!
