I recently joined a new digital scrapbooking forum,
The Digiscrap Nation and one of the first things I did there was complete a template challenge. Templates are cool because you just add your papers to the different layers and add you pick of embellishements over the placeholders on the template. Plus this one is really different style for me, with lots of "white" space...or in my case, blue space:)
I got to use Adori Graphic's kit
Road Trip, a kit I've really been wanting! Louise gave it to me for this layout and so I could create some additional Design Team examples for her to use on the kit listing at her new digiscrap site. The map letters and matching paper were so fun to work with!
This is picture was taken in ER's first hotel room when we drove with her from where we were then living to where we grew up, Michigan. I really, really hate flying and since she was such a good traveler we drove there and back. It was great being able to stay from late November through just after the New Year AND having a car to get around in the whole time. This is an unusual layout for me because it uses only one picture, I almost never scrap just one photo on a page.
Here's the third layout I created, thought this would be fun to share because, look, I actually existed before having a kid! These pictures are from one of my favorite trips with my husband, when we lived in California outside of San Franciso and spent a school holiday driving down to Southern California. The picture of me on the beach in Malibu is one of my all time favorites.
