My husband Brad was the second child, and we've noticed that when you look at family photo albums, there's a real lack of pictures by himself. So I'm very conscious of the need to make sure we record this baby's childhood in a special way. Since I'm a scrapbooker, I'm not too worried about that, since if anything my tendancy is to over document. I'm wondering, how did you record your children's childhood and what attempts did you make to ensure each is represented equally and as an individual?

Pregnancy Journal
Did you keep a pregnancy journal for each child? When I was pregnant the first time, I ran out and bought tons of books, planners, and journals. Second time around, it's been a lot less. In fact, this is the first thing I bought, after pulling out my keepsake box from ER and seeing all the journaling I did for her. It made me feel kinda bad, that I wasn't charting each little thing again, in something nicer than scribbles in my planner.

We don't have any childre (yet!) but I had to giggle just a little when you mentioned that little bit about your husband. I was the third child & I think there is only one picture of my mom when she was pregnant with me. My older brother used to try to convince me that I was adopted because of the lack of photos. He told me that mom was still heavy from having my sister in the one pic of her pregnant with me (my sister & I are fairly close in age). I totally believed him - the first time. It's so funny now; and yes, he's still a stinker!
I'm sure ER would never do anything like that to her new little sister/brother :-)
Somehow I missed the announcement that you were pregnant again. Congratulations! I am too! Due September 5th...off to find the announcement I missed.
Still working on it! As the third child myself, I swore I would document all my children equally, but it hasn't happened. A is now 2 1/2 and I have yet to put together her baby video! (I will, though. I promise. :)
Yikes! I haven't done any kind of journaling with this pregnancy. At least I'm setting the bar low for the rest of them! :)
