Snowy Scrapbook Pages

Did you have white Christmas? We did and even though the rain melted that snow fall away we got flurries over the weekend. It seemed like the perfect time to share some pages I recently completed during one of Maryanne's online crops. The photos are all from last winter.Like most kids, the moment snow begins to fall she wants to get out into it. Last year, the neighbor girls showed her how much fun it can be to make big piles of snow. They even lent her a kid sized shovel and then helped her move around the snow one afternoon. The letter stickers are glitter and along with the metal "FUN" slider letters, add a little sparkle. The other embellishments, except for the ribbon, are all stickers, even the "button". I used the same line of coordinating papers and more stickers from the same sheet for the second layout. I did the journaling on velumn so the pattern would be muted but still show. I used a few more dimentional accents on this one, including two tags I've had in my stash for years. These two pages face each other in my scrapbook and look great together. This one is included as a snowy page because we got stuck in a big snow storm when we went to Lambert's Cafe last winter, on our way down to Grandpa Norman's memorial services. It was so nice to just look at my post and have the journaling all done. I had a lot of text I wanted to include so I keep kept the embellishments to some rub-ons and chipboard letters. This page came together quickly...my favorite kind!

  3. I love the way you displayed your photos on the page! I'm always looking for different photo variations, but I leave space between each of my photos, and I've never tried a 'strip' of them. I'm trying this next time i scrapbook for sure! The embellishments are great!
