Breakfast with Santa

This is the first year we've taken ER to have breakfast with Santa, probably because last year was first time she went willing to sit on Santa's lap. We might not have done it this time except that Grandma Norma treated us all to this very special experience at Macy's. It was a fun morning; a nice holiday event I'd recommend to other family's with little ones.
The meal was pretty good and well organized. When we got there a table was reserved for us, with our name on it. There was an attractive plate of fresh fruit and a selection of sweet breads waiting for us. Later on we were served scrambled eggs, thick cut bacon, and French toast. Mr. and Mrs. Claus both came around talked with each table. Mrs. Claus even led everyone in caroling and remembered ER's name from when they greeted us as we entered. It would've been nice if there had been some sort of direction as to when to go up to see Santa. It was kind of a free for all, and with how organized everything else was, I was kind of surprised there wasn't a hostess telling each table when to go up. The line wasn't long so it wasn't a problem but for first timers a little bit more direction would've been nice.

ER gave her letter to Santa, chatted a few moments, and got a teddy bear and Christmas tree tatoo from Mrs. Claus. She was pretty happy and it was nice to not feel rushed while having your moment with the big guy. Afterwards we went to the other mall in the area, to see their more elaborate holiday decorations and browse some of their specialty stores. You can see more of them in the post from last year. Grandma Norma was nice enough to watch ER while we got some shopping done of our own. It was pretty much a holiday themed day and a lot of fun!
