Now you can enjoy the beautiful colors of fall even after all the leaves have fallen to the ground!
This craft is so fun to make that before you know it, you might find your trees doubling and then tripling into...A whole forest of fall colored trees! To make your own forest of stand up trees all you have to do is... Paint a few mini paper plates with fall colors. We picked red, orange, and yellow but brown and even green would also look great.Cut up a bunch of tissue paper into squares. Use a pencil to help crumple up the paper. Dip end into glue and stick onto paper plate.
Older kids can probably skip the pencil and dip crumbled paper directly into glue or add small glue dots onto the plate. This method is helpful for kiddos who might otherwise end up with glue everywhere.Continue to attach tissue paper until your tree is full of fall colored leaves. Let dry. Cut two slits on either end of toilet paper roll. Slide decorated plate into slits. Stand up your tree and enjoy your forest. A grouping of these would look great as a kid made centerpiece for Thanksgiving. You could even write out and attach things family members are thankful for on the other side.

These are absolutely adorable! I think that I will have to recruit the kids and make some to take the place of the Halloween decorations! Hope you will link these up to MY first ever linky party @ http://pinkapotamus.blogspot.com/2010/10/pink-hippo-party.html
Em will love this! Thanks for a great toddler friendly project.
Okay....I'm already saving paper towel rolls for the other project you featured and now I have to save more! HA! Love this idea...and seeing a bunch of them together - so pretty!
I just love what you do. What a beautiful collection of Fall trees. My father was an educator and we always had some sort of an art project going. You are making the best memories for your kids!
So fun! We are in the middle of a leaf themed week here and this will fit in perfectly! Thanks!

I love these, they are so festive and they look like fun to make, no wonder you end up with a whole forest of them!
So much fun!! I remember doing this when I was little.
These look great! We did something similar with contact paper, but the painting makes it so much brighter!
