Almost the entire chipboard mini book was created using the pad. I added a few odds and ends here and there and the blank book was from the dollar section at Michaels. Don't you just love the shape?
I painted some of the pages and used a stamp to add some interest to the background and then I layers until I liked the arrangement. The pad came with the alphabet and all these fun envelopes and tags. The picture above I previously used for a banner, so excuse the hole punch. Haven't figured out how to camouflage that yet.
Because of the books size I was somewhat limited with which pictures I could use. That ended being a good thing. I went through my box of photos and picked out random ones of ER having fun. I didn't spend too much time over analyzing which ones to use or let myself order any. Which is very unusual for me and left me free to just be creative.
The three little tags attached with a brad are fun because you can still move them about.
I added some tags to the book for some playful elements and to give myself some more room to add bits of journaling. They make it such a fun book to hold and look at.
The frame is inked to help it stand out against the papers. I didn't add anything else because I wanted the patterns to show. I might see if I can find some buttons that look like the one printed on the frame, I think I've seen them at Joann's. That would give it a little bit of dimension. I'm also thinking about adding some crystal accents on it to make it glossy, like epoxy.
I had to cut off the prongs from the snowflake brads and attach them with Glue Dots because I had already Mod Podged paper onto the other side of this chipboard page.
While the pictures I chose are kind of random I did place them in the book in chronological order so you can see her growth. Because of the size of the book I included my own journaling instead of printing it out into strips. Since I normally computer generate my text this was a nice way to incorporate my own writing for prosperity.
