On our
10th anniversary, Brad took the day off and the three of us went to explore one of the little towns along Lake Michigan. It was so nice being there mid week, the sand was a lot less crowded.
The weather was just perfect, not too hot but still sunny enough to make the water nice and warm. The waves were really gentle and ER was able to get in and splash around.
There was also plenty of time to build sandcastles and a lot of sand really needed watering! What is it with watering the sand? This is the second year ER's been into that and I've noticed a lot of other little ones doing the same thing.
There were smiles, giggles, and being goofy. It was the perfect mini break and so nice to just get away from it all! I sure feel refreshed☺

ReplyDeleteShe is so adorable, and it looks like she had a blast! I can't wait to take my daughter to the beach... it'll have to be in the next couple of weeks before Autumn hits and it starts getting colder!

ReplyDeleteI'm not sure there's any place quite as pretty as Lake Michigan. I hope to bring my family there someday and show them where I spent my childhood. So glad you guys had fun!
