With St. Patrick's Day only a week away, now is the time to make your plans. I found out about this really fun and unique event happening at McCormick & Schmick's, an upscale seafood restaurant. Because while it's fun to celebrate being Irish for a day, it's also important to be in the right spot. Personally, I prefer it to be some place I can get a little gussied up for; where I can relax, have fun, and get some delicious food and drinks. It feels more like a night out on the town then.
To participate, visit any McCormick & Schmick's on St. Patrick’s Day, when it’s Lucky to Kiss a Stranger. All you have to do is buy someone a featured “Kiss” Cocktail, Chocolate Kiss or Leprechaun Kiss. For each Kiss Cocktail purchased, you’ll receive three “I Got Kissed” stickers. Give a stranger an “I Got Kissed” sticker.
The guest at each restaurant/bar with the most “kisses” will win fun prizes, which may include dining certificates, promotional items from beverage partners and much more! Doesn't that sound like fun? I also think it'd be nice to make someone's day.
The drinks sound pretty good too. A Leprechaun Kiss Cocktail had DeKuyper Sour Apple Pucker, Ketel One Vodka, fresh squeezed lemon juice, simple syrup, drop of green food coloring and a garnish of fresh mint. That sounds a lot better than green beer to me! I don't actually drink alcoholic bevereges anymore, but I like to be out and about, socializing with my friends. I love seeing all the pretty drinks they order.
Now I am not normally a seafood person either, but almost everyone I know really likes it. There are some special menu items to help anyone get into the Irish spirit. The Corned Beef Sliders sound yummy and right up my alley. Other special meals include Guinness-Steamed Shrimp at the bar or Corned Beef & Cabbage and Lamb Stew in the dining room.
Right now you can visit the McCormick & Schmick’s Facebook page and enter the “Pucker Up & Try Your Luck” photo contest and be entered to win a $300 gift card to McCormick & Schmick’s!
If you decide to move your St. Patrick's Day together into the dining room McCormick & Schmick’s is currently giving guests the opportunity to “Discover America’s Crab”. Their special menu showcases several varieties and preparation styles for crab. With everything from Regional Crab Cakes to King Crab Legs to Lobster Ravioli Topped with Blue Crab on the menu, there’s something to please every palate. I think the signature crab cake above is almost too pretty to eat.
i'll pass on the fish but i'll take a couple of those cocktails!! not now though, its only 8:24 am lol!!
