Last weekend I put the finishing touches on this cute mini book for my friend Steph at A Pocketful of Buttons. She's been one of my best blogging friends for awhile now and I was once blessed enough to win a beautiful monogrammed dress from her. I've also purchased an adorable outfit from her store Sew Fierce, and have been given a sun hat for ER. All of her work is top notch and very high quality. I've been wanting to send her some handmade goodies from me for awhile and I hope she really likes this. I have a tutorial on how to assemble one of these, that I'll post tomorrow. The dimensions are 6X6 and it opens up to six 6X6 pages she can add pictures too. Four of the pages also have pockets, the tags I created for them are at the bottom of the post. I've embellished some of the pages with cardstock, that she can mount her photos on top of. 4X6 and 5X7 photos can easily be cropped to fit. In the top picture, of the cover, there is a chipboard frame attached with foam squares. Steph can slip in a picture below it.
There are also some journaling spots and tags she can write on throughout the book. I didn't add too many dimensional embellishments so it would still close, but there are fun touches with ribbon, paper flowers, felt flower, and buttons. I did add some foam squares to lift up some elements, the brown paper is raised with them so the metal tag won't press against adjacent photos.
Here's a little close up; you can see how the top of the tag is tucked underneath.
The tags are also pretty simple because anything too thick won't slide in and out easily.
I am also sending her a set of my clothespin photo holders and a stationary set with my cherry themed postcards and stickers. I made new clothespins to tie with the cherry theme, so it all coordinates really well.
