We needed some more decorations to jazz up our walls; I decided to get ER involved in making our holiday decor. After all, why should Mommy have all the fun? These were very easy to make and I had all the materials on hand. We made one for both Grandmas too. To Make Your Own: Paint paper plate green. Punch out lots and lots of circles out of green paper scraps. Make a few red ones too for holly berries too. Glue dots around the perimeter of paper plate. Add a picture in the center and tie on a bow. I had some glittery words left over from a card making package of supplies. They add just the right touch of bling but aren't necessary. The wreath is still cute without them.
This is a really good way to use up all those little scraps and a punch makes it pretty quick to get a large pile to work with. I think it's fun to have all those different colors of green on it. I was thinking that a whole class set arranged to look like a Christmas tree would make a really cute bulletin board. My school had an Ellison die cut that could cut several little circles at once so it would be a pretty easy craft too.
In case you were wondering, the pictures are from December 2007, when ER had a little bit more of her baby cheeks left. This has been added to my friend Heidi's Monthly Craft Challenge over at Blue Eyed Blessings. This is what I was going to add, until I saw that her post was also for decoupaged letters. I wrote it last year before I realized how much nicer posts are with lots of step by step pictures.

Great minds must think alike! Monday's post is paper plate wreaths on my blog. Although...yours is the best version I have seen! I would never have thought to have added a picture! I'm not worthy! I'm not worthy!
Have a great weekend!
Oooh this is so cute...I'm adding it to our to do list :0)
super cute and fun!! i'm thinking this would be a great boredom buster for my lil monkey boys this weekend!
So cute! This is the perfect idea for a wreath - and I agree, the different shades of green are very pretty!
First, LOVE your Noel letters from last year!! I'm glad you still linked to the project to show it off. It's beautiful! Secondly, oh. my. word. This homemade wreath is the cutest little thing. This will definitely be one of our Countdown to Christmas activities!! My kids love using my circle punches, so give them some paper scraps and punches and this project can be whipped out in a jiffy! The picture in the middle gives it the perfect final touch. Thanks so much for sharing and inspiring others to get creative!!!
