Both are made with foam core board cut to 12X12. I painted the esposed edges with a coordinating color of paint then mod podged on embossed scrapbook paper to the front and back. The calendar pages were created in a word processing program and printed them on the front and back of colored cardstock.
The clip is attached with heavy duty super glue and some punched stamp shapes, stickers, and a Psalm finish off the design. This one is meant to be displayed on a frame stand and new calendar pages can easily be made for each new year.
I also made a hanging two part calendar for my mom and resembles a traditional wall calendar when viewed on the wall. I added the ribbon between the paper and foam core board. The slight bump from the ribbon being underneath the paper isn't really noticable because embossed paper was used. I recommend this only be made with thick heavy weight paper.
The large 8X10 picture is attached with clear plastic photo corners so the picture can be updated yearly. The only thing I'd change is the color I cut the FAMILY letters out of. They don't pop off the page as much as I'd like them too.
