The calendars are handpainted wood and I love all the little details! Painting is a mystery to me, so I was really amazed by how perfect the lettering looked and I love the hip font she choose. The circle motif with it's random and funky look to it incorporates traditional Christmas colors. I was really impressed how professional it looked.
A ribbon collector myself, I love her simple but sweet embellishment of the calendar. The tulle and ribbons are the perfect touch and give the calendar a finished look.
Even the little numbers are oh so cute, sorry couldn't resist, and came wrapped up in more tulle and tied with a bow. They are perfect for teaching and reinforcing number identification. I can't wait to start using this countdown with my daughter and using it as a great learning tool. I know she's going to love switching the numbers and telling me what they are.
I am very happy with the Christmas Countdown and feel it's well priced at $26. I can tell a lot of time and work went into making it. One of Cara's Christmas Countdowns would be a great addition to your family's holiday's traditions this year. Make sure you order soon, so you can get in time for the first day of December! She also has many other fabulous projects that showcase her cute and whimsical painting style. Her custom door hangers to announce a new baby or decorate a child's door are really precious and she'll work with you to create a design that coordinates with your child's interests or bedroom decor. I also really like her celebration banners, and think they are a great way to announce your child's birthday year after year. She's even got something for those of us who want a special piece but are short on funds, you have got to see her frames. At less than ten dollars they are a real bargain! My favorite thing in her store? Her canvas name wall letters, I love all the detail she packs even into her smallest size. The best part? She's another teacher, turning her talent into a successful business, and I love supporting fellow educators.Even the little numbers are oh so cute, sorry couldn't resist, and came wrapped up in more tulle and tied with a bow. That is absolutely DARLING! (And of course I love the fact that she's an educator as well!)
